- I absolutely love Koumei looking over Shibuya while standing on top of the 109.
- Also Koumei on the roof was hype as fuck
- Also Kongming standing ontop of the Shibuya 109 building is so extra as fuck I love it.
- So extra but so badass at the same time
- You won’t believe it but Kong Ming has learned what QR Codes are and has incorporated it into his strategy
- The QR codes actually work!!! The one from Eiko leads to anime website and the one from AZELEA leads to their Twitter
- You will be taken to a scam website LOL
- Hmm, I wonder where this secret concert could be? It couldn’t possibly be at one of, if not the most recognizable destination in the middle of Shibuya, right?
- Surely it’s just a coincidence that there’s no traffic on this normally very busy street except for these two trucks filled with giant speakers.
- Woah Eiko (and 96Neko)… her rendition of Underworld(?) and that high note gave me chills… Now they are keeping Dreamer for the grand finale, I can’t wait.
- Eiko’s Underworld was WAY more musically exciting than Azalea’s. And she didn’t even have to sing when half-naked.
- I really loved the contrast between Eiko and Nanami at the beginning. We can see that Eiko was smiling, with her face illuminated by the sunlight, but Nanami had a depressed look and was more into the shadows. That’s some amazing cinematography!
- Whats very cool is that while on their respective stages, Azalea was obviously a lot flashier while Eiko has been hiding under her hoodie the entire time.
- I’m just surprised Eiko was fine with “stealing” 70,000 likes by pretending to be Azalea.
- It’s all part of the master plan to show the real Nanamin to the world as well
- They didn’t “pretend” they were Azalea — they just relied on Azalea’s fans (and the money-grubbers) to “imagine” they must be Azalea. 😉
- She trusts Koumei. Also, it is clear from this episode that Eiko knew going in that she is going to war with Nanami and Nanami’s manager here.
- We’ve gone two episodes in a row where we don’t get to hear Eiko saying “Paripi Koumei!” during the eyecatch. The withdrawal symptoms are starting to kick in.
- I yelled at the screen. Next episode better have it lol.
- That Kabe rap was INSANE, dissing like the best of the best do!
- I like how the crowd was so pissed off at Kabe but also couldn’t help but accept that his rapping was good.
- You know I wasn’t big on the whole Kabe subplot so far, but cocky Kabe dissing the enemy? Gimme more of that. He was great this episode.
- I agree, to me he was like the most normal, plain guy among the main cast. This episode just changed how I see him, he’s actually pretty amazing
- Kong: We shall add a mighty rapper to our team! Eiko: to diversify our performance and boost popularity?..so we can reach hearts of more ppl, right? Kong: uses rapper to diss opposing band
- Kongming’s scheme to steal Azalea’s identity and have Kabetaijin roast them was diabolical. This shall be known as the Shibuya Incident.
- That name gives me ptsd as a jujutsu kaisen fan
- Kabe is on the list of 10 rappers Eminem would never diss after this performance
- That Azalea performance was really unsettling. Goes to show the hell that is the idol industry
- Yeah, the ecchi’s shots combined with Nanami saying “don’t look!” made the entire thing uncomfortable to watch
- Azalea is selling their bodies more than their music at this point. That works for lots of people.
- It’s painful to see Nanami so dead inside, and the shame she felt when Eiko was watching her. She’s basically performing to a crowd that hasn’t even any idea who Azalea is. I feel sorry for the handful of true Azalea fans that must be raging when everyone around them is just here for the prize money.
- Also, I have to say, Karasawa can compose a great rock song, but has no clue how to write lyrics.
- J-rock often doesn’t make much sense lyrically.
- Going by lyrics of your usual japanese pop song, I think he knows perfectly how to cater to the audience.
- Seriously though, respect to the sleazy manager dude. Ain’t afraid to throw money to solve the problem. Ain’t like he doing anything illegal. Hell, I’ll sell my like for a chance to win 1M yen. Well played.
- He’s not really sleazy, he’s pragmatic, he knows how the game works and plays it.
- A couple moments this episode showed they’re not trying to make him blatantly evil, he’s a businessman trying to sell a product as efficiently as possible, which is his job.
- Am I the only one who really likes the Azalea producer? Its clear that he supports his girls as musicians and understands them but he also knows whats necessary for them to get big. I’m really looking forward to seeing his backstory!
- I mean, he never forced the girls to join him. The girls knew exactly what they were signing up for. He said he’d make them famous and rich and he delivered on that. I don’t think he’s a bad guy. Sure he might be an asshole at times, but he has the credibility to back that up.
- Well, the point of this whole plot is to show that he’s wrong: it’s not the only way for them to get big. Kongming’s strategies show that you can get big without compromising artistic integrity.
