海外視聴者の感想
- Absolute banger of a first episode. I had no idea what this is about, and definitely got taken aback while watching. It’s a reverse isekai + music + Kaede Hondo all ingredients for a great show. P.A. work’s first ever manga adaptation is off to a great start and I have high hopes from it.
- It has a decent following in Japan due to the manga’s popularity (runs in weekly YM after all), but practically zero in English community due to lack of any translations.
- The manga is really good!
- the premise is ridiculous and i love it
- This was better than I expected, got a couple genuine laughs out of me
- Honestly, for how wild and out there the premise is, this felt surprisingly grounded and real, in terms of the characters. I’m looking forward to this, this might turn out to be the overlooked gem of the season.
- Oh wow! Thought this was going to be some goofy comedy show but it has an actual wholesome story! I did not expect that. I like the comedy.
- This HAS to be the Dark Horse of the season
- I’m looking forward to whatever wacky schemes he has in store.
- Really enjoyed Zhuge Liang’s initial thoughts of “Am I in Hell?”
- Damn the way he was accepting his punishment was hilarious
- The bit of Kongming asking what a blockchain was and looking up his own wiki page had me laughing
- you know it’s somewhat fitting of Kongming, obviously a highly intellectual person, to already jump to blockchain within 4 hours of learning about smartphones lmao. Next up he’ll ask about AI or some shit.
- Eiko is so cute, and I like her song too. It is interesting that by combining the first character of her family and given name Tsukimi Eiko (月見 英子), you get YueYing(月英), who is said to be Kongming’s wife in folklore.
- I will say though, Eiko’s first song being in full English really caught me off guard. It got me thinking “maybe I should wait for the dub so the dialogue will match the songs” but it turns out she’s a bilingual singer and can sing in both English and Japanese, so that makes it a lot better.
- Oh damn I thought they had hired an English singer
- I also love that they used a cover of Feeling Good↑↑ by Mimiharu GT
- As soon as that “Hey DJ!” hit, I started freaking out. I love that song, both the original and the D4DJ version.
- And hearing kibun joujou as the ED really takes me back
